It's been awhile...

It's been awhile since I last posted. part of the reason is because I have been quite busy trying to get stuff done with the house. I have lots of pictures to prove it! In the meantime, I can honestly say that I have also slacked on the laundry side...slacking is bad. Slacking results in loads and loads backed up of laundry. From this lesson I learned that indeed one load of laundry a day is a less frustrating way to do laundry. Two loads is even better. And, as soon as the load comes out of the dryer, fold, and put away (or have the kids do it) all the clothes! I have found leaving piles to be put away just ends up back on the floor and in the laundry pile.

We painted the front porch. I wanted a red door the the door got painted red...and then I decided we needed some red to spruce up the white.

 I saw the grid work pattern done on a book cover and loved it...we're painting it...I am debating on whether it needs to be built up more and softened...after it is painted I'll make the final decision. In the book it's just like this but further a part...
